Purrfectly Unique, Just Like You.

Eight Cats was founded in 2024 with a focus on creating unique yet classic basics for everyday wear that are made to last. We carefully design our products and take the time to develop them to ensure the longevity.

We are a small, woman-owned business based in Los Angeles

but our dream is not so small.

Our main goals are to give back to the community, create job opportunities, and build a community of fashion and cat lovers.

Ethical and Sustainable?

After extensive research and visits to factories that so-called “ethical” brands use, we’ve come to a realization: under capitalism, there are no truly ethical or sustainable businesses. These terms have been overused for marketing purposes.

That’s why we don’t and won’t claim to be “ethical” or “sustainable.” Instead, we hold ourselves to our own standards of ethics, focus on what we believe matters, and constantly look for ways to improve.

To us, this isn’t branding — it’s a baseline. A continuous process, not a title to give to ourselves. The best we can do is stay transparent, share what we’re doing, and leave the choice to our community: support us, or not.

What We Care About,

1. Work Environment

  • Our number one priority is ensuring a safe and fair work environment for everyone involved in our business.

We work exclusively with factories in China that hold BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) certifications, which ensure:

    1. Workers have a safe working environment.

    2. No child labor is used.

    3. Employees receive fair wages.

  • We maintain our relationship very close with our factories and continue to improve their work environment together to ensure everyone involved with our brand is treated fairly.
  • One of our mutual goals between our factory and us is to continue to create more job opportunities.

2. Transparency

  • We believe it is our duty to keep our customers informed about how we operate our business. Through social media channels, we practice transparency by sharing behind-the-scenes content, explaining the reasons behind our decisions and changes, and even disclosing actual production costs.
  • All of our product reviews—both positive and negative—are written by real customers. We do not pay for reviews, ensuring future customers receive authentic and honest feedback.

3. Pricing

  • We only charge what’s necessary. Our products are priced at 3x to 4x from the landed cost, which covers production and operational expenses—including shipping, packaging, payroll, taxes, office rent, and future product development.

4. Giving Back to the Community

  • Our goal is to consistently donate to organizations we care about. So far, we have contributed a portion of our proceeds to a family affected by the LA fire and to Urban Panthers Rescue, a local nonprofit cat rescue shelter.

We hope to continue supporting local nonprofit organizations in areas such as animal shelters, community and youth programs, disaster relief, arts and culture, and more.
